Privacy Policy

Scope and contact

This notice describes the features of Kochen & Backen. Send privacy questions to redaktion@testberichteplus.de. Updated 11 October 2026.

Delivering the website

Loading a page sends technical connection information, including your IP address, to the hosting service. This is needed to deliver the website. The hosted preview is provided through ChatGPT Sites and Cloudflare and may require a hosting-provider sign-in. Those services process information under their own privacy notices. A different deployment uses the technical arrangements of its chosen host; this notice should be reviewed before such a change.

Automatic language selection

The language-neutral entry point uses the country inferred from your IP address by the server or edge environment to choose a default language. Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein receive German; other or unknown countries receive English. The website does not store your IP address in its own database for this purpose. A country is only an approximate language cue and does not identify which languages you personally speak.

Your language choice

Switching language sets a cookie named kb_language, containing de or en, for up to 365 days. Your choice takes priority over country selection at the entry point. The cookie is used for this preference, not advertising. You can remove it in your browser settings. Links with an explicit language keep that language.

Search and recipe features

Search and topic filtering run in your browser. Search terms may appear in the page address and can be processed by the hosting service when that address is requested. Checked ingredients are marked only in the current document and are not sent to a website database. The print button opens your browser’s print function.

Email and external links

If you email us, your address and message content are processed through the relevant email services to receive and answer your message. The website has no newsletter, user accounts, comments or its own analytics or advertising integration. Images are served locally. External source and licence pages open only when you follow a link.

Your questions

Contact the address above about messages you have sent or information held about you. Processing by hosting and email providers is also covered by their own contact details and privacy information.
